An Associate membership shall include a credentialed family and consumer sciences teacher whose total assignment is in another teaching field in a public school in Texas; the staff of the Career and Technical Education Division of the Texas Education Agency; professional staff in universities and colleges qualifying to train teachers for Family and Consumer Sciences Education programs; a career and technical education director, career and technical education supervisor or career and technical education coordinator engaged in carrying out Family and Consumer Sciences Education programs in the schools of Texas; and persons in related fields.

Associate members shall be entitled to all rights and privileges of active membership, excepting that of voting and holding office. Associate membership shall be subject to the approval of the Board of Directors of the Association.
